David Garrison

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

David Garrison is best known as Steve Rhoades on “Married With Children.” His Broadway credits include A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine (Tony nomination), Wicked (Carbonell Award), Titanic, The Visit, The Great Society, The Pirates of Penzance, Torch Song Trilogy, and Bells Are Ringing. His Off-Broadway credits include I Do! I Do! (Drama Desk nomination), The Cradle Will Rock, Dead Poets Society, Geniuses, Middletown, New Jerusalem, Silence! The Musical, The Torch Bearers, It’s Only a Play, and By the Way Meet Vera Stark. For City Center’s Encores! series, he was featured in Strike Up the Band, Little Me, and Working. He received a Helen Hayes Award for Merrily We Roll Along (Arena Stage), and played the Devil in the world premiere of Randy Newman’s Faust (La Jolla/ Goodman). Other television credits include “The West Wing,” “The Practice,” “Law and Order,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “The Good Wife,” “30 Rock,” “NYPD Blue,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Murphy Brown,” “Murder She Wrote,” and “LA Law.” For PBS Great Performances, he was featured in On the Town with the London Symphony and “Ira Gershwin at 100: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall.” David has performed with MasterVoices three times before, in Knickerbocker Holiday, Song of Norway, and Pirates of Penzance.

Christine Ebersole

THE QUEEN OF THE FAIRIES

Christine Ebersole has captivated audiences throughout her performing career, from the Broadway stage to television series and specials, films, concert appearances, and recordings. Ms. Ebersole received virtually every Off-Broadway award and her second Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her “dual role of a lifetime” as Edith Beale and Little Edie Beale in Grey Gardens. Other memorable NY stage performances include her recent portrayal as Elizabeth Arden in War Paint, receiving her fourth Tony nomination, her Tony Award-winning performance as Dorothy Brock in the smash hit revival 42nd Street, Steel Magnolias, On the Twentieth Century, Camelot, Oklahoma, Dinner at Eight (receiving both Tony and Outer Critics Circle Nominations), The Best Man, Blithe Spirit, and her Obie and Drama Desk nomination worthy appearance in Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads. Christine made her operatic debut with the L.A. Opera in Candide and will appear this summer in The Glimmerglass Festival’s productions of Showboat and The Queen of Spades.

Ms. Ebersole has appeared in many feature films including Licorice Pizza, The Wolf of Wall Street, Amadeus, Tootsie, Richie Rich, Black Sheep, Dead Again, Folks!, Ghost Dad, True Crime, My Girl 2, and The Big Wedding (which also featured an original composition that she wrote for the end credit). Her extensive television credits include White Diamond in Steven Universe, three seasons of the TBS comedy Sullivan and Son, Royal Pains, Madame Secretary, Blue Bloods, Search Party, and was a series regular on the 1981-82 season of Saturday Night Live.
In concert, Ms. Ebersole has appeared throughout the country including at The Kennedy Center, Symphony Hall Boston, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Memorable appearances include The Grapes of Wrath at Carnegie Hall with MasterVoices, San Francisco Symphony’s tribute to Leonard Bernstein, the Boston Pops concert version of A Little Night Music, and Gershwin at 100: A Celebration at Carnegie Hall and The Rodgers & Hart Story: Thou Swell, Thou Witty, both recorded for PBS. Santino Fontana

GEORGE, THE EARL OF MOUNTARARAT,

Santino Fontana has delighted audiences as one of Broadway’s most versatile leading men. The New York Times referred to him as “one of the most promising actors to emerge in the New York theater in recent years.” He received the 2019 Tony Award for his tour de force dual performance in Tootsie. He’s also received two Drama Desk Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, Lortel Award, Obie Award, and Clarence Derwent Award in a mix of straight plays and musicals. Broadway credits include Hello Dolly, Act One, Cinderella, The Importance of Being Earnest, A View From The Bridge, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Billy Elliot, and Sunday In The Park With George. He is perhaps best known for lending his voice to Prince Hans in Disney’s Frozen. Other film credits include Sisters opposite Tina Fey & Amy Poehler, and Off The Menu. He can be seen in the upcoming films Lost & Found In Cleveland opposite Martin Sheen, Stalking The Bogeyman opposite Tommy Sadoski, and Brenda & Billy & The Pothos Plant premiering at the Tribeca film festival. TV audiences will recognize him from the critically acclaimed Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and NBC’s Shades of Blue, opposite Jennifer Lopez. Jason Danieley

THOMAS, THE EARL TOLLOLLER

Critically acclaimed and award-winning Broadway actor, singer and concert performer, Jason Danieley has had a career that covers 30 plus years of originating roles in many new musicals (Knoxville, Floyd Collins, The Full Monty, Curtains, The Visit, Pretty Woman, Secondhand Lions). He has been a guest soloist around the world with major symphony orchestras (Boston Pops, NY and LA Philharmonics, Czech Phil, BBC Concert Orchestra…) His many filmed performances on PBS include (South Pacific, Carousel, Sondheim! The Birthday Concert, Ring them Bells: A Kander & Ebb Celebration and He Said/She Said with his late wife, broadway star Marin Mazzie). He has also performed, for over 22 years, solo and duo cabaret concert performances across the country. And he recently won the Berkshire Theatre Critics Award for his performance as Fredrik in A Little Night Music at Barrington Stage Company. Iolanthe marks Mr. Danieley’s third collaboration with MasterVoices. Previous performances include Nanki Poo in The Mikado and Rikard Nordraak in Song of Norway. His directing career has included collaborations with Lynn Ahrens on Lynn Ahrens: A Lyric Life for the Lyrics & Lyricists series at NYC’s 92nd Street Y, co-creating with Keith Lockhart, of the Boston Pops, Remembering Stephen Sondheim at Tanglewood and the upcoming Ragtime: The Symphonic Concert, the premier concert version of the great American musical at Symphony Hall in Boston and also Tanglewood again with The Boston Pops.

Ashley Fabian

PHYLLIS (an Arcadian Shepherdess and Ward of Chancery),

Known as “a joy to watch and hear” (Daily Camera), soprano Ashley Fabian is quickly garnering recognition for her artistry in both comedic and dramatic roles. Her voice has been consistently praised for its “gorgeous crystalline tone” and “smooth legato”, along with her “emotional conviction” and “masterful” acting. In the upcoming season, she covers the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at Los Angeles Opera, joins the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Utah Symphony in Carmina Burana, sings Pamina in Die Zauberflöte with Pacific Opera Project, makes her LA Phil debut as a soloist in Steve Reich’s Traveler’s Prayer, makes her Carnegie Hall debut as Phyllis in Iolanthe with MasterVoices, and returns to Opera Neo as Bellezza in Händel’s Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno.
Other recent highlights include Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro (Seattle Opera), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Des Moines Metro Opera), Cinderella in Into the Woods, directed by Ted Sperling (Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera), Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel (Pittsburgh Opera), and Adina in L’elisir d’amore (Pittsburgh Opera and Indianapolis Opera). She was also a three-time Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Other companies with which she has sung include Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Charleston Symphony, Central City Opera, and Virginia Arts Festival. In addition, Ms. Fabian works as an actor based in Los Angeles. She has appeared in several films and was featured on the Lifetime Movie Network. She has also appeared as an undefeated contestant on Wheel of Fortune and Game Show Network’s Chain Reaction.

Shereen Ahmed

IOLANTHE (a Fairy—Strephon’s mother)

Shereen Ahmed is one of the most anticipated rising stars in entertainment. For her groundbreaking debut in The Lincoln Center Theatre’s production of My Fair Lady, Shereen was recognized as the first Egyptian-American woman to portray Eliza Doolittle in Broadway history. Following this success, her performance on the national tour garnered critical acclaim nationwide, including a feature spread in Vogue Arabia and a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle nomination for Theatre Excellence.
Notable stage credits: A Man of No Importance at Classic Stage Company (starring opposite Jim Parsons and Mare Winningham, directed by John Doyle); Jekyll & Hyde; The King & I; The Music Man; The Sound of Music; Meet Me in St. Louis; West Side Story. Notable TV credits: New Amsterdam; The Broadway Show with Tamsen Fadel.
A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in the arts, Ahmed was spotlighted as one of “40 Under 40” accomplished Arab Americans in the United States by the Arab America Foundation and was invited to speak on disability, diversity, and inclusion for the United Nations 14th Conference of States Parties, appearing alongside director Michael Arden. She is also a global ambassador for Education for Employment, the leading nonprofit that trains youth and links them to jobs across the Middle East and North Africa.
Shereen has studied human rights at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Towson University.

Phillip Boykin

PRIVATE WILLIS (of the Grenadier Guards)

Phillip Boykin (Bass-Baritone) is a 2012 Tony Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards Nominee for his work in The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. He is a GRAMMY Award Nominee for his role as Tonton Julian in Once On This Island. He’s the 2012 Winner of a Theatre World Award as well as the International Reviewers of New England Awards and The Distinguished Alumni and The Anchor Award from the Hartt School of Music. Other performances include the Broadway Revivals of The Music Man, On the Town and Sunday in the Park With George, the roles of Joe in the National Tour Show Boat and at several Regional theaters including Sacramento Music Theater, The Pirate King/Samuel in Pirates of Penzance with MasterVoices at NY City Center and Barrington Stage, Ken in Ain’t Misbehavin’, Crown/Jake in Porgy and Bess, Tarquinius in The Rape of Lucretia, Caiaphas in JCS, and Jesus Christ Superstar Gospel, the HARLEM GOSPEL SINGERS, Fred in Smokey Joe’s Cafe and Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte to name a few. Phillip performed as Booker T. Washington in the Anniversary Concert of Ragtime at Lincoln Center. Mr. Boykin portrayed the role of Big Hand in the movie Freedom (starring Cuba Gooding Jr.) and was recently seen as The Driver in Top Five (starring Chris Rock). Schyler Vargas

STREPHON (An Arcadian Shepherd),

Mexican-American baritone, Schyler Vargas, is establishing himself as a versatile young talent, bringing interdisciplinary performances to the operatic, theatrical, and concert stage. Noted as a “distinguished” (Washington Classical Review) and “powerful baritone,” (Washington Post) his recent work in the dramatic song cycle UNKNOWN by Shawn Okpebholo and commissioned by UrbanArias has been featured on PBS News Hour and NPR, among other publications.
Previously, he has been seen in main stage roles at The Atlanta Opera, Arizona Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, The Glimmerglass Opera Festival, Dayton Opera, and Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera. Schyler’s notable roles include: Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Harlekin in Ariadne auf Naxos, Cinderella’s Prince and the Wolf in Into the Woods directed by Ted Sperling, Maximilian in Candide, Rolf in The Sound of Music, and Riff, Diesel, and Chino in West Side Story with original Jerome Robbins choreography, among others. On the concert stage, Schyler has performed as the baritone soloist for Vaughn William’s Five Mystical Songs, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solenelle, Schubert’s Mass in Ab, and Mark Hayes’ Requiem.

Tiller Peck

Dancing Fairy

Tiler Peck was born in Bakersfield, California. She began her dance training at the age of two at her mother’s dance studio, Bakersfield Dance Company. At the age of seven, she began studying privately with former Bolshoi Ballet principal dancer Alla Khaniashvili in Hollywood. At the age of 11 she began studying at Conjunctive Point in Culver City, California, with former New York City Ballet dancers Colleen and Patricia Neary. During this time, she also studied with former NYCB principal Yvonne Mounsey at Westside School of Ballet in Santa Monica. At the age of 12, Ms. Peck entered the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, for most of the 2000–2001 Winter Term. In September 2004, Ms. Peck became an apprentice with New York City Ballet. In February 2005 she joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. She was promoted to soloist in December 2006 and principal dancer in October 2009.

Nicole Eve Goldstein

CELIA

Nicole Eve Goldstein (Celia) is a NYC-based crossover artist with an affinity for both Opera and Musical Theatre. Recent credits include: On The Right Track (AMT Theatre), A Concert for Sugihara and Anyone Can Whistle (Carnegie Hall), & Aeterna (world premiere at The Narnia Festival, Italy), and M for Marriage (Triad Theatre and the Herman’s Theatre, Denmark). A proud recipient of the Emerging Talent Award from The Lotte Lenya Competition, Nicole received her BM in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory, as well as a graduate certificate from the Professional Conservatory of Musical Theatre at NYFA. Nicole is thrilled to be a part of the Iolanthe cast!

Kaitlyn LeBaron

LELIA

This is Kaitlyn’s Carnegie Hall debut! Other credits include Kelly Clarkson’s National tour Salt Lake City, TedEx SLC vocalist, and the Disney Family Singalong on ABC. Her first performance with MasterVoices was Radio City Music Hall Lord of the Rings concerts in February. “Mom look I’m playing Carnegie!”

Emy Zener

FLETA

This is Emy’s seventh year in MasterVoices. She spent many years in theatre and dance, working with directors such as Barry Edelstein and Jim Houghton. She is a proud graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy (where she last played a fairy). Current roles include that of psychotherapist and of mom to 11th grader Lucy.
