In 1941, MasterVoices was founded as the country’s first interfaith, interracial chorus (known as The Collegiate Chorale). Since then we have pursued the art of choral music as the art of democracy – the coming together of individuals to make a greater whole. We believe that beautiful music is not a privilege, but a necessity.
From master classes and free concerts to intergenerational performance and music-making opportunities, our education and outreach programs have made a difference in the lives of thousands of New York students, seniors, and civic groups.
