MasterVoices from Home – March 25

Dear Friends,

Since 1941, MasterVoices has been celebrating the power of the human voice to inspire, connect, and unite. We’re not going to stop now.

But changing times call for changing methods. So we are huddling together (virtually!) to find ways of connecting with you until we can be together again. Please enjoy this inaugural weekly(ish) MV: Home Edition – a few things to lift your spirits, make you smile, enjoy some past highlights, and anticipate a few new ones. Because one day, the show will go on!

Some Funnies

A special MasterVoices hand washing song, by singing member Mary Fan… rehearsals may be suspended but we can’t get Carmen out of our heads!

And here’s a 88-second version you can try at home – all it takes is a Swede, a beaker, and an animal drummer. Crotchety hecklers optional.

Beautiful Sounds

And now something that’s just for beauty’s sake – check out MasterVoices friend Kelli O’Hara singing Stephen Sondheim’s “Take Me To the World” as part of Rosie O’Donnell’s marathon benefit for The Actors Fund this past Sunday.
